The Events

The Three events that are included in this challenge are all endurance events that culminate in what is considered one of the most gruelling races in sport - the IRONMAN. Each event has its own technical preparation and each warrants its own recovery time, making the sequence even more difficult and complicated to manage without serious injury.

There is no guessing what time to predict for such an event, as I have never covered anything close to this distance before. Assuming I am healthy and well trained, I would hope to finish with the 'decent' time of under 12 hours.

In order to accomplish such a time, it is expected that I put in at least 15 hours of training a week, peaking at 20 hours in the last months. The challenge is not the training, but doing it at 5.30am before work, or after the kids go to bed at night!
